Heating and A/C savings add up

Heating and A/C savings add up

When I first bought my household years ago there were more than a few “projects” to do.

The first couple of years were hard and trying to keep the household moderate in the winter time was harshly difficult.

This was due mostly to the fact that the windows, doors, and even the roof were poorly insulated and sealed, so all of my heat was literally flying out of the house. Even after repairing most of those I still wasn’t seeing a significant change in my energy cost until I finally broke down and update my Heating and A/C system. When I first began researching the cost of a new system I was easily upset that I wouldn’t be able to afford the payments on that and the high utility bills each month. After speaking with an Heating and A/C contractor I learned that a new efficient system, along with all of the upgrade and repairs I had done, could drop my yearly utility bills by as much as 35%. After calculating how much that would be I easily had no other choice than to go ahead with the updatement. Overtime my new system would pay for itself and continue allowing me to care about the savings for years to come. My second savings came when I went to file my taxes and realized that with the improvements to the household and adding other energy star appliances along with my new Heating and A/C system I was going to have a significant tax deduction. If anyone is having trouble with their current Heating and A/C system they should easily contact a contractor and find out what incentives are available because it was totally worth it to me.
