Grandmas tepid home

Grandmas tepid home

From as long as I can remember, my dad would bring my sister & I over to my Grandma’s home for a quick visit.

My friend and I didn’t stay too long, because she liked to go to sleep undoubtedly early.

I remember the snacks she would provide us, & the games we would play. Another thing I remember is how she typically had the heat running in their house, no matter the time of year. My sister & I typically looked at each other thinking the same thing- “how is she frosty right now?!”, and she typically had to have the furnace running in the house. I did not understand why it was typically so moderate in her home until my dad told me that most older people are usually colder than young people! From that day, I typically assumed that aged people were just cold; When she was residing in an assisted residing facility, she typically had the heat running. This was something that I never understood, because even in the middle of the summer, she would have the furnace blasting. I didn’t know if I should ask her about it because she typically seemed comfortable. I remember one time we left the assisted residing facility & we were all covered in sweat. My friend and I had to go condo & take a shower! My Grandma passed away recently although I am happy that she was comfortable towards the end of her life. She was a undoubtedly nice lady, & was typically happy, even if she smoked us out of her home every time!
