Did you ever meet someone who prefers to be at work rather than at home? Well, if you haven’t, let me introduce myself, because I am that person, but you see, my job as a cleaning man allows me the chance to escape the heat and humidity that I must put up with at home.
I work at a resort and spend my days in the comfort of the units where I can crank the air conditioner and not have to pay for its cooling effects, and the job absolutely isn’t that difficult and most of the guests leave me absolutely nice tips. I still don’t make enough to afford having air conditioner at my apartment so that is why I love being at work… Even on days where I have a absolutely dirty machine I never mind. Those units take extra time to scrub but the way I see it, the longer I am there in the air conditioned space, the better. Many of my coworkers complain about the work however I feel that they may have Heating and A/C systems at apartment so they don’t love it like I do, one morning, maybe I will be in a better position financially to afford my own Heating and A/C system and I will feel like they do too… For now, my apartment is small and I use box fans to try and keep cool while I am home. I live in a region that has year round Summer temperatures so this means that I always have a difficult time sleeping and I actually feel more rested after work than I do when I am at home.
