Did you ever meet someone who prefers to be at work rather than at home? Well, if you haven’t, let me introduce myself, because I am that person, but you see, my job as a cleaning lady allows me the occasion to escape the heat and humidity that I must put up with at home.
I work at a resort and spend my days in the comfort of the units where I can crank the air conditioner and not have to pay for its cooling effects… The job really isn’t that hard and most of the guests leave me really nice tips. I still don’t make enough to afford having air conditioner at my cabin so that is why I cherish being at work, however even on days where I have a really dirty unit I never mind. Those units take extra time to clean however the way I see it, the longer I am there in the air conditioned space, the better. Many of my coworkers complain about the work despite the fact that I think that they may have Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C systems at cabin so they don’t love it like I do, however one day, maybe I will be in a better position financially to afford my own Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C system and I will feel like they do too… For now, my cabin is small and I use box fans to try and keep cool while I am home. I live in a region that has year round summer time hot and cold temperatures so this means that I always have a hard time sleeping and I undoubtedly feel more rested after work than I do when I am at home.
