I have been a part of a company for many years now.
It is true that I have the most seniority within my location. Many people answer to me. Many people look to me for advice. I have a big responsibility in this part of my company. I enjoy it. I get to control many things. I get to have things my way. That being said I am very successful at what I do. One of the things I love to control is the thermostat. I am allowed to leave it at any temperature I please.If I am feeling cold I can make it warmer. If I am feeling warm I can make it cooler. I get to be comfortable all of the time. Unfortunately, everyone else has to live with it. I do not take requests. If I make an exception to someone, I have to do it for everyone. We all know that is nearly impossible to do. I am in charge of the HVAC system so I make sure to get regular tune ups on it. I would hate to be the person that everyone hates because the HVAC system is never taken care of. I know that if it does not get regular tune ups, it may affect everyone in the office around me. The heating and cooling temperature have a large impact on how well people perform doing their job. I believe that is why I am so successful. I get to be comfortable all of the time. Make sure you take care of your system to be comfortable at all times too.
