As a single father of 3 kids my life is a little hectic.
Their mom and I divorced about 5 years ago and I was granted full custody of my kids. The oldest is 10 years old and my youngest is 5, so that keeps my life pretty busy on most days. Are rare occasions I get the opportunity to go out on a date with someone new and my parents agree to watch the kids overnight. I met the young woman who I have spent several evenings with and I was very excited to go out to dinner last week with her. We wanted to head to a new place that was located down near the water. The evening temperatures were still in the mid-80s so I wore a summer-weight suit. She looked beautiful and hair and makeup for just perfect, for this reason we chose a table inside instead of sitting out in the heat at humidity. When we were first seated, I noticed that the room was a little warm. We placed our order and as we sat there it didn’t seem to be getting any cooler so I flag down the waiter to ask if there was a problem with the air conditioning. He said that some parts of the restaurant were warmer than others and the other side of the room was actually complaining about being too cold. I asked him when the last time they had their ductwork cleaned or their HVAC unit serviced and he had no clue. He did offer to move us to the other side however then we wouldn’t be near the windows so we decided to suffer through our dinner and then head out for a walk on the beach. Even though the temperatures were warm and the humidity was still up there was a breeze that at least gave us some relief.
