Treating myself to some additional air conditioning

I’m actually sort of excited to have the Spring be rolling in the way it is.

That’s something that I normally dread because it means that the heat isn’t too far off.

We deal with a pretty formidable heat season that runs from maybe mid May all the way through September. This time of year comes with a whole lot of cooling from the heat pump. That’s because the temperatures tend to sit just below the hundred degree mark. And the humidity level is not far behind. You have to take the good with the bad and so I deal with the heat. Thanks to our residential HVAC, I’m fairly comfortable inside the central air conditioning of our home. We do our best not to spend a huge amount of money on cooling the house. However, once June gets here, the air conditioning just has to be on. By that point, fans and hoping on a breeze just doesn’t get it done. Still, we’re pretty disciplined when it comes to the thermostat setting in order not to overspend on air conditioning. The part of the house that’s a big deal to me doesn’t get the air conditioning the rest of the house does. This is sort of an add on mud room from the previous owner. But I turned it into a little workshop where I do many different crafts. This year, I treated myself to my own air conditioning in my little workshop. I had a ductless heat pump installed by our HVAC professionals. I’ve had the ductless heat pump on a few times but I have yet to really see what it can do once the temperatures get up there. So I can’t believe that I’m actually excited for the heat to come.
