Restaurants are too Cold

Restaurants are too Cold

Bob and I have a date night every Friday night.

Last week, was very special because we were celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary.

I bought a gorgeous new dress and some nice new jewelry to go with it. My husband made reservations at our favorite restaurant as well as at a beautiful hotel on the beach. It is about a three hour drive, and when we were halfway there, I realized that I had forgotten a sweater. The new dress I bought was short sleeved, and I knew that the restaurant would be very cold. Just as I thought, the first thing I noticed when I walked in to the restaurant was how cold it was. I asked for some hot tea hoping it would warm me up a bit. Unfortunately, it didn’t. I asked our waiter if he could turn the AC down a little, and he said he could. By the time our food arrived, I was so cold I was shaking. I felt so bad to ask my husband to leave earlier than we planned, but he was more than willing since he knew I was very cold. Our waiter saw us getting ready to leave and asked us if there was a problem. I told him that it was simply too cold in the restaurant for us to stay. He asked us politely to wait while he talked to his manager. The manager came back and apologized for it being so cold. He didn’t charge us for anything and promised to raise the temperature. Thankfully, we were able to stay and finish our meals. I don’t know why restaurants are so cold, but I wish they weren’t.
