I am here at my aunt’s for another week and then I fly back to my flat overseas.
I didn’t rent a car this time and it is turning out to be a pain in the rear to do anything.
Where I live overseas I can walk everywhere or ride my bike to get around town. Here in the States it is a different story and living without a car is next to impossible as I have been seeing. My HVAC rep buddy wants to meet me for lunch at a local business, and if I Uber there and back it’ll cost me almost $50 for lunch. I think next time I will buy a scooter so I at least have some wheels because this is crazy being stuck at home all day. I’ll work more for the heating corp and save money so that next time when I come to visit I can buy a scooter or rent an air conditioned car. Being stuck at my aunt’s house for the next week is going to be challenging, especially with my two loud niece’s running around the house all day. I’ll probably be glad to go back to my HVAC tech job in a week, and I’ll be happy to see all my HVAC expert friends once again. I just don’t like to rent a car while I am here because they have become so pricey to rent, and buying one can be a whole different pain in itself. The last one I rented had a broken HVAC system and the heating system was stuck on the whole time.
