I love getting new things. I think that I am addicted to getting new things which is not good, but my husband helps curb my spending habits. I have definitely gotten better since we have been married. Before we were married, I was constantly buying things and getting myself into debt. I bought things that I would never use just because they looked cool. My sweet husband actually went through a financial program with me before we got married to help me learn how to spend and save money wisely. I do not know what I would have done without him. We have been out of debt for years now, and it is so freeing. Now, I know how much I can spend each month without having to worry about getting us into financial troubles. This month, I decided that I wanted to buy a heater. Our guest bedroom gets pretty chilly during the fall and winter months, so I decided that buying a space heater for that room was probably a good idea since we have guest stay at our house quite often. The heater that I got was a little more expensive than what I was hoping, but it was a good brand, and hopefully, it will last for many years. My husband was so impressed by the heater and how nice it was. I love spending money on new things, but I have also learned to spend money on things that I need or want really badly instead of just impulse buying things that I will never use.
