If you have trouble with your A/C, make sure you check your thermostat first

If you happen to be having trouble with your air conditioning system, make sure that you check your thermostat for problems before you call an HVAC technician.

  • If you don’t, then you might end up like I did and feel like a big dummy.

It’s been a really hot summer here and we have been running the air conditioning all summer long. The cooling bills have been really high this summer and I was pretty sick of paying them by about halfway through July, honestly. Of course, the temperatures haven’t gone down one bit since then, but my A/C stopped working correctly. I just feel like that’s my luck these days. For me, it seems like if I didn’t have bad luck, then I wouldn’t have any luck at all. I couldn’t believe that my A/C stopped working but sure enough, the temperature in the house was going up higher and higher all of a sudden. I was so mad at this point in the summer that I couldn’t even see straight. I didn’t even bother with checking anything out because the weather outside was so hot that it was basically unbearable. I went ahead and called our local heating and cooling company so I could get my central A/C fixed. The HVAC technician came out the very next day and it didn’t take him too long at all to get the house cooling down again. It turned out that the only thing that was wrong with my A/C was the fact that my thermostat needed some new batteries!
